The Finnish Clubhouse Coalition coordinates and represents the Finnish Clubhouse network. We strengthen community-based support for mental health recovery, develop accessible digital participation through eClubhouse, and build shared structures for knowledge-based, data-informed leadership and impact work (incl. SROI).

Who we are

The Finnish Clubhouse Coalition (Finlands Klubbhus / Suomen Klubitalot ry) is a national expert organisation that supports and coordinates Finnish Clubhouses. We work together with Clubhouses, members and partners to strengthen mental health recovery, reduce exclusion, and support pathways back to everyday life, studies and employment.

We also represent the Finnish Clubhouse movement in national and international cooperation and support shared development work across the network.

Our strategy

Our strategy consists of three pillars that reinforce each other:

1) Data-informed leadership and impact work

data, evaluation and impact communication (incl. SROI)
We build shared practices and tools that help the network collect and use data in everyday decision-making, development and impact work.

2) The Clubhouse model

We strengthen low-threshold, community-based recovery support where members and staff work side by side and participation is built into everyday life.

3) eClubhouse (digital participation and accessibility)

We develop and run the national virtual Clubhouse, eClubhouse, to make participation and support accessible also for people who cannot attend a physical Clubhouse. eClubhouse offers community-based activities, peer support and guidance in a digital environment.

Our core work happens where these three overlap: building practical, community-based support that works both offline and online and making its impact visible in a concrete way.

What we do

1) Support and strengthen the Finnish Clubhouse network

We support Finnish Clubhouses in their daily work and long-term development. This includes shared development work, training, communications, and building partnerships that strengthen the network’s sustainability.

2) Develop and run digital participation: eClubhouse

We develop and run the national virtual Clubhouse, eClubhouse, which offers community-based activities and individual support online. The programme includes group activities, peer support, digital coaching and one-to-one guidance. Many participants use eClubhouse to build daily structure, strengthen confidence and digital skills, and take steps towards studies or work.

eClubhouse makes participation possible also for people who cannot attend a physical Clubhouse due to distance, health, life situation or other barriers — and it can also complement support received at a local Clubhouse. eClubhouse is part of the Finnish Clubhouse network and follows the core principles of the Clubhouse model in a digital environment.

3) Build shared impact work and data-informed leadership

We support the network in collecting and using data in a way that is useful in practice. Our aim is to make impact work part of everyday development — not an extra layer on top of it.

In practice, we combine three types of information:

  • participation data from daily activities (longitudinal, individual-level data)
  • member surveys and feedback (including validated measures)
clear reporting and dashboards that support decision-making at different levels of the network

Our data-informed leadership supports the network on three levels:

  • Member level: helping members recognise strengths, set goals and follow progress
  • Clubhouse / regional level: making evaluation and development easier and more consistent across Clubhouses
  • National level: compiling and analysing network-level data to support coordination, resource allocation and communication of impact

This includes shared indicators, reporting practices and evaluation tools — and approaches such as SROI (Social Return on Investment), which help make the value of Clubhouse work visible to Clubhouses themselves, partners and funders.

Clubhouses in Finland

Clubhouses are equal communities formed by members in mental health recovery and paid staff. They complement psychosocial services and support recovery through meaningful daily activities, peer support, learning opportunities and pathways towards studies and employment.

There are 21 Clubhouses in Finland, operating in different regions of the country.

Data and impact

We use shared data and evaluation practices to support development across the network. This helps us follow progress over time, improve quality, and communicate impact clearly and transparently.

If you want a more detailed look at what is collected and why, we have compiled the main indicators and practices on a separate page:
